Our Philosophy:

Our primary concern is the health and well-being of our clients and their families. Whether we are performing an adolescent's first gynecological exam, assisting a family in the birth place of their choice, or offering menopause counseling, our goal is to listen, assess, and provide the best care and guidance to support their unique health care needs. Our approach to pregnancy and childbirth follows the Midwives Model of Care which is based on the fact that they are normal life processes. The Midwives Model of Care includes:

Monitoring the physical, psychological, and social well-being of the mother throughout the child-bearing cycle.

• Providing the mother with:
• Individualized education, counseling, and prenatal care
• Continuous hands-on assistance during labor and delivery
• Postpartum support
• Minimizing technological interventions
• Identifying and referring women who require obstetrical attention

This woman-centered model of care has been proven to reduce the incidence of birth injury, trauma, and cesarean section.
